Passwords stay out of the website
Passwords are stored locally in the browser profile and sent to the selected device for authentication. Approved websites receive device metadata, including username and host, but not the password.
LAN Device Bridge lets websites you approve call Dahua, Hikvision and local device APIs without receiving the device password.

Access is tied to the website origin, device and permission level. You can revoke it at any time.
Websites granted Full Device API access can call API paths supported by their Dahua or Hikvision firmware.
Set up once. Approved websites can use the bridge until you revoke access or remove the device.
Install LAN Device Bridge from Microsoft Edge Add-ons. This page opens automatically after the first installation.
Open extension settings, enter the IP/host, vendor and credentials, then click Test to check the connection.
Open an SDK-integrated website and click the LAN Device Bridge icon on the Edge toolbar.
Choose a device and access level, then reload the website to connect the bridge.
The extension shows the website origin and selected device when you grant access. Only grant Full Device API access to websites you trust.
